Community Competition 2018

The Floral Guernsey Annual Awards Presentation and Dinner was held at Les Cotils on 6th September 2018.

There were two entries this year - Sark and St. Saviour.

Sark was the overall winner and awarded the Lady Dorey Cup.

The judges were Alan Dorey and Rae Beckwith.

Rae is a very experienced judge and mentor in the UK and Jersey and we were very fortunate that he was able to spare the time to come here.

Alan hails from a local family of farmers and growers and has worked in the horticultural industry all of his working life both in the UK and on home soil.

They were both very impressed with the standard on the island especially given that we have had such a dry and hot summer.
