Community Competition 2019

The Floral Guernsey Annual Awards Presentation and Dinner was held at Les Cotils on 5th September 2019.

There were five entries this year - Forest, Herm, St. Saviour, St. Peter Port and St. Pierre du Bois.

Herm was the overall winner and awarded the Lady Dorey Cup.

The judges were Mary Snelling, Lucy Hurdley and Rae Beckwith.

Rae is a very experienced judge and mentor in the UK and Jersey and we were very fortunate that he was able to spare the time to come here.

Mary Snelling originally set up the Bridge Floral Group and has studied horticulture, landscape and garden design.

Lucy assisted our very own John Woodward in judging the Douzaine Room section of the competition.

92 volunteers and supporters from nearly all the parishes and islands attended.
