School's Gardening Competition
Our Schools Gardening Competition took place at the weekend with the winners being chosen by public vote.
We had 648 votes in total and La Houguette School was the overall winner with their Wind in the Willows themed garden. Second was Vauvert and joint 3rd Forest and St Martins.
The children had put a lot of effort into their designs and there were some interesting themes from ingredients for a Pizza to saving the oceans from plastic.
Rae Beckwith, RHS senior judge was on island as judging for the Bailiwick in Bloom Competition this week.and came along to have a look. He was very impressed with the high standard of entries and particularly liked the diaries showing their design development.
